An independent UK business, built around one Amazon problem
Packfox is independent Amazon brand protection: we watch the listings so the brands that own them stay in control of their own pages. Here’s why it exists, and who’s behind it.
Why Packfox exists
Packfox didn’t begin as a brand-protection service. It began with me getting deep into how Amazon actually works, building my own tools on Amazon’s Selling Partner API to see what really happens on a product listing, beneath the surface a shopper sees.
The more I looked, the clearer one thing became: on Amazon, a brand’s own product page isn’t truly its own. Other sellers can attach to it. The price can be pulled around. The buy box can quietly pass to someone else. The listing can be changed or suppressed, and the brand is almost always the last to know, usually weeks or months later, when sales dip or a stockist complains.
I’d set out to work with brands on Amazon; what I came away with was something more useful to them: a way to catch those problems early and know what to do about each one. The tools to watch a channel properly exist, but they’re built for analysts, not busy brand owners, and the agencies that offer real hand-holding charge thousands for it. Packfox is the part in between: the watching, the judgement and the legwork, done for you, at a price a smaller brand can actually justify.
Who’s behind it
I’m Martin, and I run Packfox myself: the same person watches your listings, works out what each change means, and writes your reports, start to finish.
I’ve spent fifteen years in sales and customer service, across industries including insurance, retail and finance: detail-heavy work where being careful with the facts and straight with people isn’t optional. I’m not a developer by background; I learned to build the analysis tooling behind Packfox because I wanted to understand Amazon properly, rather than take a third-party dashboard’s word for it. That mix, commercial instinct plus tools I built and trust, is what Packfox runs on. And it does run: the monitoring works around the clock in the cloud, every number in a report traces back to marketplace data captured on a stated date, and I review anything that carries your name before it reaches you.
It’s the same instinct that shapes how Packfox handles your account: your marketplace data is used for one thing only, watching your own listings, and never shared or sold. The fee is a flat monthly one, not a percentage of your sales, so my only job is protecting your channel.
How we work
We buy specialist marketplace data; our sources include Keepa, an established provider whose price history data is used across the Amazon industry. Once a client connects their own account, monitoring runs on Amazon’s official Selling Partner API instead, and the two are never mixed. We run current frontier AI models over that data to help draft what you read, and a person stays accountable for every word: each number in a report traces back to recorded evidence, and a figure that cannot be traced is not published. You could buy the same data yourself. What clients pay us for is the watching, the judgement and the finished next step, so none of it sits on your desk.
If you’d like to see what’s happening on your own listings, the free channel audit is the natural place to start: no call, no commitment.
